I'm on windows (Apache, mod_python)... why would I want to use tracd?

(my 2c worth follows)

I think the guy has a point. There are open source packages out there
that put effort into making intelligent auto-installing packages.
Although I grant you that these can sometimes make a hash of things and
cause more problems to sort out. Take VTiger CRM for example. I
installed this (running one installer) with no knowledge of the
dependencies and it more or less all worked. The only problems were
related to the fact that I was installing onto a system with Apache
already running (no mysql or php though). If it had been a clean system
It would probably have just worked.

Personally I have enjoyed learning about programming Python through my
use of Trac and writing extensions. Not to mention learning more about
configuring Apache httpd. If I had had the choice of a click and
install solution would I have taken it? I think I probably would have.
