Regarding the thread you mentioned:
As of now, I have 9 mails, starting with
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. But some people
simply start a new thread by using the reply function, then they replace the
old subject with a new one, in this case "Wiki Formatting Tables &
Plugins" and "Subversion and Trac "You should install the SVN
bindings"".  So I have 2 mails with "Trac Add comments macro", but 9
within the thread :-(
Maybe this confuses your MUA?
