Yes. But the problem was really a Visio file, which OOo cannot open. I
just made the example ppt because I couldn't remember the Visio extension
off the top of my head. ;)

Yes, and that would have the same exact problem. This would fix that - it
would force the exported PDF to be updated if the PPT was updated.
