We have been having some trouble lately with spam on one of our servers.
I checked the content of the spam and found that it contained a
weblink (as expected). The interesting thing is that the IP address
from a reverse lookup of that link is blacklisted in spamhaus. I know
that the spam filter code has support to blacklist IP addresses of
machines that are known to spam content, but how hard would it be to
extend the spam filter to also look for weblinks in the actual contents
and see if those IP addresses are blacklisted?
I know this is a spam checking test performed by spamassassin and it
works very well for them. Any chance of getting something like this
into the trac spam filter?
Thanks,
Allen
