Any luck with this? I have almost the exact same issue. svn 1.4.0, trac
0.10 on redhat linux running under mod_python. I get the following in
the error_log:

httpd: subversion/libsvn_subr/path.c:114: svn_path_join: Assertion
`is_canonical(base, blen)' failed.
