I've followed this suggestion and set up an authz file that allows browsing only of /project1 and /user1/project1. As desired the timeline shows changes only for this project. However when I try to browse the source for the project it complains that I don't have access to /. Allowing browisng of / fixes that but then the timeline shows the changes for all the other projects in the repository.
