I agree that the suggestion to use double quotes seems on target, but
I'm not sure how I would do that.  We are using LDAP to authenticate
to the trac system, and then trac uses that user name for the email
address, appended with the default domain that we set up in the
trac.ini file.   Is there a way to force trac to use double quotes
around every email address by default?
