Hola,

I've added some of the upgraded modules to testing.transmission.cc
that are available on the regular site. The site is now looking a lot
more like the old site, and potentially ready for use.

There are a few issues that Andrew and I thought some nerds might want
to looks at.

In particular, the Liquid Wiki module has changed dramatically
(complete rewrite) and the author says on their site: "A note on
upgrading: Basically, upgrading isn't supported. If you attempt to
upgrade you are pretty much on your own. I'm sorry to say this, but I
don't have time to help people poke around in the database"

This is not world ending, but it raises a few issues:

1. Mediawiki is now used for Transmission wiki
2. There is some older content in the old liquid wiki
3. the old content is not visible without the new liquid module installed
4. It is causing errors to be printed to screen (see the front page
for an example)
5. The errors don't actually mean anything, they just look ugly

So the upshot is we can leave it the way it is now, someone can take a
look and try to fix it, or we can move the old content over to the
mediawiki install. What do people think?

Also, the characters in the ChamTV feed aren't rendering well, and the
feed doesn't seem to link to online video anyway - is their a
better/more relevant feed or should we drop it?

I've installed the default RSS aggregator in our instance, but Andrew
tells me that Zoe has written something better? We can install that
whenever it's ready.

Captchas have been added to user registration and users need to be
unblocked by an admin before they are allowed to log in.

Cheers

L.

If footy was free, we could have a class war.
Let's smash Eddies' empire to the floor.
My friends and I keep talking about smashing the State,
but Olympic Sports Committee won't include assassinations.
I try so hard to be a trouble making creep,
but my phone conversations send the AFP to sleep.
If only I was a professional sports star,
Revolution would be televised wide and far.
If only Telstra Dome would fill with the lumpen proletariat,
we could have a riot, no one would forget it!
If footy was free, we could have a class war.
