Is there a way to generate a diff from a currently viewed SVN file
against a certain tag or branch name without manually navigating to the
branch/tag and searching for the exact revision no.?

And is there a way of displaying branch/tag names in the revision logs
of files/directories?

I know features like these from old ViewVC times, at least for CVS
projects where Branches and Tags were something special. I know they are
not for SVN, but anyway there are de-facto standards like subdir names
"branches" and "tags". If those were built-in or - even better -
configurable for every TRACked repository, it would be possible to
display corresponding infos in SVN log views, making them easier to
identify. So they could be easily selected for diffs.
