I set up a whole new trac set up recently. I created a test environment to make sure I had all the plugins set up correctly and then created an environment for a project.
At this point I realised I'd missed off the XML-RPC plugin, so I set it up and all is great for me as TRAC_ADMIN, but I did notice that our developers couldn't use Mylyn to access trac as a task repo. I hadn't had a chance to investigate this when I was asked to set up another project. When I was setting up the permissions groups I noticed an XML-RPC permission group in the list. OK - great so now I know why the developers can't use Mylyn. I went into my original project to add the permission to the relevant group. Only problem is XML-RPC isn't there in my original project! How can I persuade new/updated permissions into a trac environment? Does that make sense at all?
