I have Trac setup on the same server as our corporate samba file server
running Ubuntu 8.

Is there a way to link to documents in Trac that are on the filesystem?

The files are accessed normally by:

\\everex\corp\Development\foo.doc
<file:///\\everex\corp\Development\foo.doc>

I've tried making a symlink to the samba directory share in my trac's local
htdocs dir, but that doesn't work

Yet, I can do this:

htdocs/network.png -> /SAMBA/public/Documents/Visio/production & dev
networks.png

and then in Trac I can do this:

[[Image(htdocs:network.png, 50%)]]

And that works great.

But trying this:

htdocs/corp -> /SAMBA/public/

I can't access anything in there even via

https://trac.mycompany.com/htdocs/corp/

or

https://trac.mycompany.com/corp/
