Eleonore, if you want to write the version number, you can just create a custom field, named My Version, and delete all of the versions that is configured at Version table.
It's a solution that I'm using. And, wherever I want to make reports filtered by Version, I just use My Version field, on Custom Query. If I want to group the results, I use a Wiki that I named Reports, and there I have a lot of Custom Reports, using my custom fields, like this: [query:group=myversion Tickets by My Version] I have the same problem about the mult selection field, and, in my case, I want to select several values in the Component field.
