hi,
how could one configure trac so one can use:
* accountmanager, presenting a html login page
* rss reader, doing http authentication
using the httpauth plugin?
i tried to enter the path /timeline?
changeset=on&max=50&daysback=90&format=rss into the path, but it
anyway goes to the login form instead of popping up the browsers login
window
HTTPAuth plugin.
and which url would you enter here so it really picks it up? you did
not try it isn't it?
I think you missed a few words in there. HTTPAuthPlugin is configured by
default to force authentication for anything with format=rss I think.

could you point me to the code resp config entry where this is the
case pls? somehow i did not get it to work here or i misconfigured the
default config?

http://trac-hacks.org/browser/httpauthplugin/0.10/httpauth/filter.py#L32 . It isn't like the plugin is very long, you could have read the whole thing yourself. I have received reports that this plugin doesn't work with Apache (at least with CGI and FCGI), so that might be an issue.
