good point Noah - tks for this. but my problem cannot be solved by just do what the manual suggest to do. at this time i am sitting in jakarta with very slow internet conx - and by doing just the easy_install I always get a time out. the only way for me with other plug in's was to download them before as either an .egg or the source and create my egg my own and then install it. that works perfectly so far. In general I was not looking for the spamfilter but for the discussion forum. unfortunately the TracDiscussion requires the spamfilter (beside the fact that it could be a good tool nevertheless). I have got the source from the TracDiscussion and made an egg from it. By installing it, the TracDiscussion is looking to install the SpamFilter first. So that I have to find a way to get the SpamFilter on the system first, then install the TracDiscussion. And I can't get it by the easy_intall download:
