It's just the way HTTP is.
It was a real issue for me, just minutes ago. I was working on someone else's computer and was unable to log into Trac as myself. Impractical workaround: temporarily delete the password for the user that is logged on. Restart Trac. Log out and try to log back in. Trac will then prompt for the username/password again, allowing you to log in as a different user. Restore the password. Restart Trac. Better workaround (maybe could be done with a plugin): when click logout, rather than staying on the current screen display a logout screen with the option to log in as a different user. I don't know if implementing that is practical or not (I don't understand the "way HTTP is" well enough).
