Hi Machael,
thats good. 
Although that package in lenny is a bit older than what is available in trac's 
website. I have installed it from trac's site itself. I wanted that collection 
of repo system, account manager, webadmin and some other things.
Anyway using something available in debian's site is always good and save us 
from a hell lot of configs and dependencies problems. I am ,myself  a big fan 
of debian's package management system and the whole process.

Thanks for the answer. For now I have installed the Debian Lenny Trac
package and  deleted the install from source and everything works
fine. It seems to be a permission issue as I have a restrictiv umask
for root...
