Um, are punctuation white space? If they were, then this would not be a problem. To me, it looks like punctuation is not white space, and so is made part of the word.̈́ I truly cannot see how that would ever work with tags. Or, more specifically, with anything that generates tags automatically. Where do the tags that the TagsPlugin uses (especially for the TagCloud) come from? > > Have I missed some obvious setting.
