Hi all - I'm not sure whether this is possible or not, but we have
TracStandalone installed on windows, with the AccountManager plugin.
This is working well, and we can add and maintain users in a local
passwd file.

We would however, like to link to LDAP, but only for authentication -
i.e. Maintain the list of authorised users etc within TRAC using
AccountManager, and simply use LDAP to check password of those
authorised users.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

The plugins so far that I have seen, don't seem to offer this -
LdapPlugin for example, doesn't do authentication (relying on Apache
etc), which we don't have as we're using tracd - plus we don't want to
be managing LDAP from TRAC - or managing trac permissions in LDAP.

Have also tried TracLDAPAuth, but this appears to just let anyone who
can authenticate to LDAP into the system, instead of a list of
aiuthorised users (which is what we want).

Can anyone tell me if what we want is possible at all, and how we
might achieve it?
