Great, thanks for the tip!

I created a new user group ("subject") called 'viewer' containing most
of  the permissions from the 'anonymous' user, then removed said
permissions  from 'anonymous', then added 'viewer' to 'authenticated'.

So, 'anonymous' ended up as:

BROWSER_VIEW
CHANGESET_VIEW
FILE_VIEW
LOG_VIEW

And 'viewer' as:

MILESTONE_VIEW
REPORT_SQL_VIEW
REPORT_VIEW
ROADMAP_VIEW
SEARCH_VIEW
TICKET_VIEW
TIMELINE_VIEW
WIKI_VIEW
