(Noticed your next mail too)

This is what happens to me:
action 1: open IE8 window, my trac URL
action 2: open another window, again my trac URL

action 3: go to first window (action 1) and log in as administrator.
action 4: go to the second window (action 2). When I click on 'login' it
automatic logs me on as administrator. (IE7 was not doing this.)

If I change the order in actions 1-3-2-4 the result is the same.

Using 'logout' and then use 'login' again still automatic logs me on as the
first account that was used to login. If I logout on all windows and then try
to login again does not change that, there is an automatic login as the first
user I logged in as.

The only way to log in as another user is to close *all* IE8 windows, including
windows that did not show any trac URL during their session.

I don't want the automatic login in the second window, I want to login as
another user. IE7 was acting so when I opened a new window (not when I opened a
new tab).

The idea I get is that IE8 is keeping all cookies of all windows together.
While it looks like that EI7 is keeping cookies per session of one window apart
from the others. But I can't find any confirmation of that on the web nor any
way to control this behavior in IE8 setup.

Hi,

(sorry for top-posting, but webmail makes a mess of things anyway :-(  )

Not sure what you actually see happening.

I use IE8 and when I open a 2nd trac instance (in a new tab) I am indeed
automatically logged on as the same user that is using the 1st trac instance.

But what I can do is log out in the 2nd trac instance, followed by a new logon
using a different user id.

Doesn't that work for you either?

Cheers,
joost.

Before the update to IE8 I could open a window with IE, go to my trac
site and log in as user XXX. Then I could open another window with IE
and log in as user YYY.

After the update to IE8 I still can log in as user XXX but no more in a
second window as user YYY.

Firefox 3.5 acts in the same way as IE8.
