Even if this is an old thread and bringing it to life once again
'cause I'd like to try something like this (I just need to find some
time to do so ;o)

  - There's a TracSphinx plugin [1]_ [2]_ that was released even before
    the original msg was posted to the list :o) , but is not indexed
    in TH.org ... :-/

In previous msgs you mention that there are a few solutions out there
(isn't it ? ). If you guys have tried to do something like this before
I'd like to know your opinions in order to discover at least part of
any of these

  - download links
  - docs & home page & how-to(s)
  - brief assessment and or personal opinion ;o)

That'd be helpful (for me ;o) in order to select one of them and save some time
