This was asked about a year ago, but the answer was the *.edgewall.com site is 
actually just a frames based site that redirects to different individual Trac 
sites via top level domain trac.edgewall.com, genshi.edgewall.com...etc.

So the customization is done via apache and html, not Trac.

One example of a using a custom template with the trac multienv variables is 
the custom index template file, and the PythonOption TracEnvIndexTemplate 
directive in Apache

The base project file template is described here: 
http://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/TracInterfaceCustomization#ProjectList

Which would get you started.

There was at least one floated on this group a time back, I think it was called 
pro_index.html.  I can't find the link
