Hi,

url rewriting is possible, if you access trac by apache -
here an example for an apache which works as proxy for a tracd:

/srv/www/htdocs/.htaccess

<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^trac/case(.*)$ http://127.0.0.1:5000/trac/ticket${escapemap:$1}
[P,L]
RewriteRule ^trac(.*)$ http://127.0.0.1:5000/trac${escapemap:$1} [P,L]
</IfModule>

Instead of redirecting it to the tracd port, you can insert your trac url -
the user just sees the following url:

http://www.mydomain.com/trac/case/1

=> forwarded to http://127.0.0.1:5000/trac/ticket/1    (127.0.0.1 = the server
host)

You have to ensure that the mod_rewrite is enabled in your apache.

ciao,
Chris
