You need to install subversion from source and create the python bindings as well. Installing SWIG ...
Thanks for going to the trouble to make such detailed notes. They gave me all I needed and now I have Trac up and running.
I had to make some changes to the process to suit some local quirks in my environment, but I couldn't have asked for a more helpful reply.
