I don't know about short names but we use a WikiInclude macro which lets you
group these thigns. We use
[[WikiInclude(PageFragments/MilestoneStatus|msname|title|date)]]
To instantiate:
== [milestone:"{{1}}" {{2}}] ==
[[BurndownChart(milestone={{1}}, startdate={{3}}, width=500)]]
[[WorkloadChart(milestone={{1}})]]
[[ProgressMeter(milestone={{1}})]]
You could make an include like:
||{{1}}||[[ProgressMeter(milestone={{1}})]]||
