My trac version is currently 0.12dev. I've ran this and I got a message say 
it's not supported

# email2trac --project=affinity < /usr/local/src/email2trac-1.4.2/msg.txt

TRAC version 0.12dev is not supported

 There are command line arguments you associate with the given email
alias to select which project your targeting.  I believe you have to be
using the 'multiple trac environments' style config, but I'm not sure. 
We use it and it works fine.
