Hello! This is my first post here and I would like to thank the developers for the wonderful job they're doing - I have used Trac in several projects up to now and the interaction with the system was excellent. So far, the out-of-the-box version has served me well and with a few targeted plugins I have managed to get all the needed functionality.
Right now, I'm deploying Trac for a slightly larger project and I need to customize the "Ticket" form in order to include a field that will take values from an external database (similar to the enhanced "Assign to" drop-box). Is there any plugin that could help me accomplish this? If not, how hard would it be to write my own (I have reasonable programming experience and I have worked in Python before).
