So what could be wrong on my side? Maybe the fact that these aliases do not even show up on the InterMapTxt wikipage is of interest?

Could it be, that there is a problem if the alias contains an underscore? "alias1" in fact also works on my site. But "prefix_alias" doesn't. It did before.
