No problem, really. We'll take this as a hint that our caveat was not visible or clear enough, and we'll use that feedback to further improve the docs ;-)
When you upgrade from 0.10 to 0.12, this is done in one go but is not fundamentally different than going from 0.10 to 0.11, then from 0.11 to 0.12, as we're performing the same sequence of upgrade steps.
