Is there documentation, outside of the source, of what the database schema are and how they interrelate, so systems outside the Trac code could interact directly with the Trac back-end instead of going through the Trac interfaces (such as ticket-by-email) as suggested in the other reply? Then someone could make an interoperable Trac-backend-compliant perl module; that would be awesome. The method names could be copied from one of the existing CPAN modules that allow one to interact with Bugzilla or RT, for drop-in-replacement goodness. (more coffee!
