If this is a fresh new install, in which you care not about the current Trac 0.11.7 data, I would simply delete it and start over...
Depending on your arch/python version, there are a few things to delete: /usr/lib<arch>/python<version>/site-packages/Trac* /usr/lib<arch>/python<version>/site-packages/Genshi* /usr/lib<arch>/python<version>/site-packages/Babel* Genshi and Babel may not need to be deleted, but I would for completeness. I am suspecting yum installed older versions of those as well. As I go back over my instructions, you may want to see if yum can uninstall Trac for you. No need to break your packaging database by manually deleting a package. (I use break loosely, you'll be fine) Your arch can be found by doing a: uname -a or maybe it might be easier to read a: lsb_release -a once deleted, perform the following as a regular user: mkdir ~/trac cd ~/trac svn co http://svn.edgewall.org/repos/trac/branches/0.12-stable cd 0.12-stable sudo python setup.py install >From here, you will have to adjust your apache trac configuration accordingly. The Trac installer will automagically grab the needed Genshi/Babel requirements. Good luck!
