I'm not suggesting that there are (or are not!) big issues but it is a
fact that the umbrella project at apache was moved to the "attic" and
that there is no active development:

If someone is starting a new install or having problems moving an
existing one then I think it is a valid, prudent suggestion that they
adopt a current project instead of an, at best, dormant one.  If you
have a working install then there is no pressure to change yet...
