I want to install my first Trac installation. I would like to experiment with it so I think it might be appropriate to install on a virtual machine. My host machine is Windows 7 and dedicated for Trac. I would like to hear suggestions on what options I may need to consider. Are there different VMs to consider? What are the trade off for running a VM on Windows 7 vs a parallel VM and possibly a Linux host (although I am not well versed in Linux - yet).
