Hello all, first post ever, completely new to Trac. Installed it for the
first time today, v0.12.2 on Solaris 10. Got it running (after some initial
friction) using tracd.

The default date fomat is mm/dd/yy, for example in the Timeline (showing
today's date as 10/15/11), Active ticket report (same date format), in a
search result (for example By eleganger - 10/15/11 16:13:45). I want the
yyyy-mm-dd format, commonly used in Europe.

Some searching on how to change the date format brings me to instructions to
set the locale on the server. I tried this (for example export
LC_TIME=en_GB), but since I keep my Solaris servers lean and install only
the C-locale, trac bombed out with "Error: unsupported locale setting". Can
it really be the case that I need to update the locale on the server to get
the desired date format? It seems natural to set this inside tracd (or even
in the browser to support users in multiple locales), not in the hosting
operating system itself.

Cheers,
Erlend

PS: It is strange that the time format is quite ok for me (24h); what if I
were American and wanted am/pm times?
