I have spent some time looking at existing plugins on Trac-Hacks
already. InterWiki would not be desirable, as I believe that we would
need to go through and edit all the data already in the system in the
correct format. We already intend to use the data stored for other
purposes via XmlRpcPlugin, so reformatting would require changing how
that program works as well. It is preferable if the plugin could do
all the work with requiring the Software Engineers to change their
processes.
The other one I found that looked looked most useful was
RegexLinkPlugin (http://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/InterWiki), but because
the data is only numbers, it is not distinctive enough to work. I was
thinking of trying to target RegexLinkPlugin, but I couldn't follow
the yeild and lambdas to understand how it works. That's why I am
trying to get Torbjörn's plugin working instead.
