I am (very slowly, I admit) gearing up to using gantt-like ticket overviews in Trac. Of course, gantt is a date dependent thing. Before I put in lots of dates, I am curious if there is a plugin I have overlooked that makes it possible define relationships between dates in tickets. Things like (1) a ticket cannot start until some specified ticket is closed, or (2) a ticket cannot start until another ticket has also started. Currently, I will need to enter all the dates in each ticket. If a ticket slips it's date, I need to edit all the dependent tickets' dates by hand. This can be many tickets. And as the dates are going to change by an offset, batch modification is not possible.
Have I missed a great way to deal with this? I already user sub-tickets, and parent/child tickets. If only the dates could be managed. Another reason I want to sort out the dates is that I am hoping to bring a related group of workers in to using the Trac ticket system to manage our work. This sort of date management would help ensure they are happy. Any pointers are welcome. -- Roger Oberholtzer -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Trac Users" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
