Hi! I'm glad to let you know that we have not only update Trac to 1.0rc1 in our BitNami Trac Stack. But now Git is also included! (http://www.dzone.com/links/bitnami_trac_now_with_git_bundled.html) .
With this version you can install Trac with Git (with a few clicks) and you don't need to worry about setting a git repository on your own. During the installation you can select which repository you want to use for your project (now subversion and git are available). I'm sure this installer will make easier for you to test Trac 1.0rc1.
