I think it is unknown at this time whether Subversion 1.8 is compatible with 0.12-stable and 1.0-stable. As far as I've seen there are no known issue with Subversion 1.8. It is probably the case that it has been tested very little or not at all by end users, though we can see from #11364 that Jun has done at least a little bit of testing with ti. Any known issues should be reflected in this list: http://trac.edgewall.org/query?status=!closed&keywords=~svn18 Your best bet is to use Subversion 1.7.x, but if you are willing to have some uncertainty in order to use Subversion 1.8.x, and can provide good bug reports in the case that you encounter any issues, then by all means feel free to pave the way towards using 1.8.x with Trac.
