I did a very bad thing. I upgraded my Linux Mint install using its 'fresh' install method, which is basically: 'back up all data, install a fresh copy of Mint, then restore the back-ups'. It all went fairly well, but I was too gung-ho about it. I didn't look into how to back up/restore a trac project because I figured just having the files in the project directory would be enough, so I do not have a hotcopy backup. I do, however, have my trac project backed-up using Mint's backup tool, which basically just copies files in a directory.
I have so far been unable to access my project again. I have set up my hosts file and created a virtual host for the project, enabled the site through Apache, and generally followed the set-up guides for installing trac on Ubuntu (which Mint is based on, and which I followed to set up this project to begin with). The only thing I've done differently is, after I do the trac-admin /path/to/project initenv setup for a new project, I replace the contents of that project with my previous files. However, when I go to the URL, I get an HTTP 404 error. Is there anything I am missing or things I might try to get this to work? Or am I basically hosed? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Trac Users" group.
