Which instructions did you follow to setup your Trac installation? Trac doesn't handle authentication itself. That is left to the web server. If you want integrated tools for management of users in your Trac instance, you'll need to install AccountManagerPlugin: http://trac-hacks.org/wiki/AccountManagerPlugin Assuming you are using htpasswd for your authentication store, you'll need to create users: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/programs/htpasswd.html Regarding web server configuration, you should read: http://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/TracInstall#ConfiguringAuthentication http://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/TracFastCgi#SimpleNginxConfiguration http://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/TracNginxRecipe Another option would be to just use a preconfigured VM with Trac installed and configured: https://bitnami.com/stack/trac/virtual-machine > Can someone PLEASE help me get this working? > > Also: The IRC nickserv is wigging out on the #trac IRC channel, and will > not let me, with my properly registered nick, say anything in IRC, which > would be my preferred medium for getting help. > > If this is not the best place for this question, or if there is a better > way to get help, please let me know! > > Thanks! > > -Stephen > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "Trac Users" group. > To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an > email to [email protected]. > To post to this group, send email to [email protected]. > Visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/trac-users. > For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout. > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Trac Users" group.
