For some time Trac has discouraged against using mod_python [1] because the project was terminated by the Apache Software Foundation [2]. I still see quite a few users running that 3.3.1 version of mod_python that was released in Feb 2007 (from users posting their configuration in tickets and on the mailing list [3]). I do not know whether there are any security concerns around running the old version.
Jun pointed out to me that the project has been revived [4]. I was just wondering if anyone was running this new version 3.5.0 and can say whether it works well with Trac.
