Hello,

My team has been using Trac(version 1.0) and Email2Trac(version 2.0) for
quite a long time, however lately we are having problems with attachments
getting dropped. I did a bit of investigation and noticed that Microsoft
Exchange Server uses a TNEF format for attachments, which would be
contained within the winmail.dat file. It seems as though emails are not
being decoded properly. I was wondering, how this mechanism used to work in
the past since this issue has been occurring recently. So the scenario
would be as follows : Fetchmail fetches the emails and attachments are
contained within winmail.dat. Email2Trac then does the parsing of these
files. My question is how it does the decoding, if it does at all.

I also installed the Trac TNEF utility which decodes .dat files. However I
am not sure if email2Trac is capable of parsing the decoded .dat files. I
think understanding exactly who does the decoding process will help to
resolve this issue. Do you have any suggestions? Or if you could forward
this email to someone who knows this part of the system better, it would be
much appreciated.

Thanks,

Melissa
