Regarding the first issue in comment:8 (1), you were probably using DateFieldPlugin prior to Trac 1.2 and it stores the date as a string, not a timestamp. In Trac 1.2 you can use a custom field of type "time" and the value will be stored as a timestamp. If you were using DateFieldPlguin you'll need to convert your existing fields using a custom script, and start using the time custom field. See also (2).
