Hi, we like to define complex queries for the users to find their tickets as query hyperlinks in the main Wiki.
Before going for SQL reports I try to get that done with [query: ] macros. Having large [query:?...] macros, the opening /query always has the v Filters frame expanded, filling the whole first screen. Silly but annoying. Can that be changed? Reason to use query instead of SQL reports is that we have lot of custom fields, which can be quite hard to fetch with SQL using OUTER JOIN: https://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/TracIniReportCustomFieldSample The same with query syntax is far easier like this: [query:?documentation=open&author=~$USER&or&development=open&developer=~ $USER&or&integrator=~$USER&integration=open&or&serviceer=~$USER&service=open &or&reviewer=~$USER&review=open&or&test=open&tester=~$USER&group=project&col =summary&col=integration&col=integrator&col=service&col=serviceer&col= documentation&col=author&col=test&col=tester&col=review&col=reviewer&col= development&col=developer&col=owner&col=type&col=status&col=priority&col= component&col=resolution&col=changetime&order=priority Role assigned to me] Some background: Trac has no user custom queries, and the /report only has global reports. But there are alternatives in Trac. The Trac-way to have custom queries can be bookmarked URLs or just Wiki entries. With Bookmarks every user can manage those URL requests depending on browsers. But this is usually harder to maintain as the URL strings get very long. For sorting columns and stuff I usually pasted it in some vim or other editor. Using Wiki entries, we created User wikis that is a user wiki for every user where people can create their own queries using the macros. Wiki version tracking is a benefit here.
