Are you having Apache handle the auth? You may need to change the path of 
the relevant Location directive to /trac/login:
https://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/TracModWSGI#ConfiguringAuthentication

Trac 1.0.1 is very old. We recommend using the latest in the 1.0.x series, 
or even better, 1.2.x.
