Does anybody have an advice how to pin the vertical scroll position of
the ticket edit field in the browser?
In our TRAC (version 1.2.3) we often edit the description of tickets.
While we are writing the ticket description, TRAC automatically keeps
rendering the ticket preview above the ticket edit field. This auto
preview is a nice feature, but the vertical scroll position of the
browser is not stable, which is a little annoying.
The reason is that the new rendered ticket preview can have a different
vertical size than before. The browser (Firefox) is forced to move
everything a little. The effect is especially drastic when inserting
large pictures or copy&pasting large text fragments. It may even happen
that the edit field moves out of sight. This hinders text edits a little.
Note that this issue applies only for edit of ticket descriptions.
Ticket comments or wiki pages are not affected because the preview
appears below the edit field, not above.
