Dears,

when I click on a ticket type in the admin menu of Trac 1.6, e.g.

https://my-trac-server/admin/ticket/type/my-ticket-type

there is a description field. However, I'm not sure, if/where this
field is used.

I had assumed, that this description is used as default description
for the ticket, but it is
not. With TicketTemplatePlugin it's possible, i.e. the feature is not
missing, but I wonder, why
the description in exists in the first place in /admin/ticket/type/...
