Hello.
We're having problems with the Trac timeline RSS. It doesn't seem to
be escaping HTML within its tags and therefore the RSS XML is illegal.

This should work in 0.9.4, as the fixes are already in the stable branch.
Please try it out:
svn co http://svn.edgewall.com/repos/trac/branches/0.9-stable
I discivered this same issue when I enabled ticket_details in the RSS feed for
the timeline in my 0.9.3 install.
I cehcked out and installed the above stable branch (python2.3 setup.py
install), but I'm still getting validation errors, thanks to a … entity
in the description field (edited to remove certain identifying text):

From discussion with the Users: …

Thunderbird calls it an invalid rss feed, and Opera presents me with the
following error:
XML parsing failed: undefined entity (Line: 36, Character: 49)
The offending highlighted character is the '&' in the above snippet.
I've checked out #2580 and from what I've read, this is marked as fixed in
this branch. Is there something I've forgotten to do?
Cheers,
Terry.
PS. For information, this is 0.9.4dev on Apache/2.0.54 with mod_python.
(Debian sarge stable.)
