And you can use the DbAuthPlugin if you want to get around the session table limitation Bryan talks about above. http://www.trac-hacks.org/wiki/DbAuthPlugin It takes patching Trac itself with the info on ticket 2456 as well as setting up a database with your users and permissions and such.
