Hello,

now that Sourceforge supports SVN I was wondering if it is feasible to install trac on Sourceforge for my projects there. Some googling turned up this: http://lists.edgewall.com/archive/trac/2005-December/006069.html -- but it ends a bit on a cliffhanger. Any updates to this?

Karol got it working, I believe. The plugin is here:

I'd be happy to help you set it up, as I'd like more people to have experience with it.

Thanks for your offer, Brad.

I actually ran into a rather obvious problem quickly -- it seems Karol was not interested in the SVN integration while I am. The problem is that trac wants local access to the repository, but while SF has a /svnroot directory on the shell servers, it does not contain anything. Is there any way around needing local access?

I filed a support request with SF, too -- maybe they can mount the repositories. After all the SVN support just went official, so they might plan something like that anyway. And I want to hear their opinion about the general idea of running trac on their servers. It seems to be ok with their policies as far as I can see, but I'd love to get an official ok before setting it up.

Cheers,
 Peter

PS: here is the SF ticket -- note that for some reason they do not like people commenting on other people's tickets: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1441468&group_id=1&atid=200001
